Karma Campervans Insurance, Mechanical Failure And Roadside Assistance Overview
Your safety, the safety of our property and the safety of others is a priority for us at Karma Campervans. And in keeping with the Karma Campervans way, we’ve tried to make insurance as simple as possible for our Guests.
Karma Campervans Insurance Overview
(Before June 2023)
- Insurance is not included with your base campervan rental fee.
- You will need to have either your own personal vehicle insurance that covers “cargo van rentals” or "camperized van rentals" or "Commercial Vehicles under 4500 kgs" or "Commercial vehicles over $90,000" or other supplemental insurance coverage such as travel insurance, or upgrade to include our insurance add on in order to rent with us.
- Karma Campervans is not responsible for acknowledging Renter’s acceptable personal vehicle insurance policy. We suggest you have a high level understanding of your coverage.
- For your convenience, Karma Campervans offers four insurance add on levels for our Guests: “Zero,” “Karma,” “Good Karma,” and “Good Karma Plus Glass.”
- If you do not select one of our insurance add on options, you have elected to select “Zero” insurance protection and will be 100% responsible for damage should anything occur. Karma Campervans has the right to charge your credit card on file for any damage-related costs.
- If renter has selected “Zero” insurance coverage, the Renter agrees to immediately pay for all damages to campervan should they occur. Karma will issue an invoice to the Renter that they can then present to their insurance company for reimbursement.
- If you do not select one of our insurance add on options or have selected “Zero” insurance coverage through Karma Campervans, your security deposit is set to $5,000.
- Renter is responsible for 100% of damage to the campervan if anything should occur during the rental and as set out in our Rental Agreement.
- Should any damage to the campervan occur during your rental, Renter is responsible for up to $10,000 in damages per occurrence as set out in our protection packages below.
- Zero, Karma and Good Karma insurance does not protect against windshield chip or replacement cost. *See below for definition of a non-repairable/non-fillable windshield chip. Windshield replacements vary in cost depending on the model year of vehicle and rage from $450 - $850 + tax.
- Renter agrees to pay the uninsured portion of the claim (deductible) plus applicable taxes direct to Karma Campervans immediately upon completion of rental.
- These terms are subject to change. Please check back for updates.
Karma Campervans cares for our Guests and highly recommends insurance coverage of some kind for your rental.
