Campervan Fleet Detailer and Shop Hand (Part-time and Full-time) – Calgary and Vancouver (East Richmond)

The Campervan Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing campervans between trips. This position is very flexible and has variable hours that range from 5-15 hours per week to full time. Be ready to work in a fun environment and engage with the best Guests. Regular tasks would include:

  • Checking in campervans after a Guest rental, accurately recording and noting deficiencies
  • Washing exteriors
  • Vacuuming, cleaning, sanitizing camper interior prior to next booking
  • Changing, washing and folding linens
  • Performing minor maintenance such as fixing latches, touching up paint
  • Liaising and work closely with Location Fleet Manager and Booking Coordinator
  • Checking rental schedule and prep units before Guest pick up
  • Engaging with guests by answering questions, assisting with supplies or with campervan operation
  • Driving and parking campervans around lot and to other locations such as auto dealerships

Qualifications:

  • A Valid Class 5 Drivers License in good standing is required
  • No experience necessary but an asset
  • Physical ability to lift objects, kneel, clean in tight quarters
  • Detail oriented and hard working
  • Able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays

Location Assistant – Full-Time – Calgary and Vancouver (East Richmond)

The Location Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and preparation of campervans for rental customers as well as maintaining an orderly shop and working closely with Management on local company promotion. It’s kind of a “jack-of-all-trades” type role where you’ll wear many hats and be involved at the ground level of our growing company.

Time requirement: This is a full time position (40hrs/week)

Role responsibilities:

  • Working with Management and Booking Coordinator on daily tasks and rental schedule
  • Preparation and coordination of daily rental pick ups and drop offs
  • Coordination and execution of off and on-site campervan repair and maintenance such as interior repairs, tire changes, body repairs and windshield replacement
  • Assist in washing exteriors and cleaning and sanitizing interiors after each rental
  • Preparing campervans for new rentals with fresh bedding, supplies and add ons
  • Coordinating campervan preparation and movement of vans around the city for promotions
  • Engagement with local businesses or tourism agencies and events to promote the business
  • General cleanliness of the shop, materials sourcing and errand running for supplies

Skills and key attributes:

  • Ability to take direction and execute tasks efficiently
  • Able to driving large cargo vans (10′ high x 22′ long) in tight spaces and around the city
  • Able to lift heavy objects (eg. 30lbs water jugs)
  • Good communication skills, team player, enthusiastic and a ready to exceed expectations
  • Highly self directed and able to complete tasks as required
  • Love of the outdoors, camping and adventure

Experience/qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • RV/camper electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems knowledge a major asset
  • Some evening, weekends and holiday work may be required
  • Must have a Class 5 drivers license
