Calgary to Las Vegas Extravaganza

Calgary to Las Vegas is an epic road trip adventure taking you from Canada and across several US states. The direct drive from Calgary to Las Vegas is 2095km and takes about 19 hrs 27 mins in normal traffic.  We recommend breaking up the journey for a more laid-back and immersive road trip. 

For the most direct route to Las Vegas, it is best to drive Highway 2 through Lethbridge to Highway 4, cross the border at Coutts and ride the I-15 straight to Las Vegas. However, we will suggest some amazing stops along the way that will veer you off the I-15 and create a longer journey. The journey offers a great choice of cities and nearby attractions, these are just a few of the ones you’ll want to check out!

Great Falls

Great Falls is a nice blend of outdoors and big city living. The city offers live music, monthly art walks, and great restaurants. Another key part of Great Falls is the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, built into the cliff side on the Missouri River providing exhibits about Lewis and Clark’s famous journey and the historical significance of the United States’ westward expansion.

Bozeman

Many refer to Bozeman as “the most livable place”. The town offers world famous hiking, mountainInside Karma Campervan overlooking bed and beautiful view biking, rock climbing, impressive wildlife and so much more. Another amazing part of Bozeman is the Museum of the Rockies. The museum is recognized as a world-class cultural and natural history museum and research facility.  It is renowned for displaying an extensive collection of dinosaur fossils, including the fully-mounted Montana’s T. rex skeleton!

West Yellowstone

This small, fun-filled town boasts four seasons of outdoor adventure. West Yellowstone is the closest entry point to see Old Faithful, one of Yellowstone’s iconic natural landmarks. As well as plenty more to do!

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton is a national park providing a spectacular landscape with majestic mountains, pristine lakes, and extraordinary wildlife. The park’s crown jewels include the Cathedral Group of peaks and the majestic Snake River. 

Lava Hot Springs Foundation 

Idaho’s World Famous Hot Springs! Waters bubbling up from an ancient volcano, 2 1/2 million gallons of all natural hot spring water swirl through the pools daily. Salt Lake City

Salt Lake is a modern city set at the foot of spectacular mountains. The city offers access to both urban and outdoor adventures creating opportunities for every traveler. 

Bryce Canyon National Park

Zion National Park

This park encompasses some of the most scenic canyon country in the United States. Here you can find high plateaus, a maze of sandstone canyons and waterfalls with colourful hanging gardens.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is the largest no-kill sanctuary in the United Sates. This sanctuary is tucked into the exquisite red-rock canyons of southern Utah. Here, cats, dogs, horses, pigs, birds, bunnies and other animals find safe haven.
