CALLING ALL VISUAL ARTISTS!

Karma Campervans’ mission is to create amazing experiences by way of remarkable road trips that our Guests remember for ever. We also believe beautiful art should be part of this road trip experience and we’ve included a small piece of artwork in each of our vans since day one, but it’s typically been store-bought and mass produced.

That’s about to change.

Calling all Western Canadian Visual Artists

Karma is looking for artwork to feature in our campervan rentals and we’d love to work with YOU – our amazing local Western Canadian artists. If you are a visual artist from Western Canada specializing in paint, photography or other visual mixed media, and are interested in having your artwork featured in a Karma campervan, we’d love to hear from you!

Project details:

• Karma is looking to feature up to 80 visual artists. Each artist will be featured in a campervan with their work on the passenger side back wall near the bed.
• Artist will need to supply a visual work (file) that can be produced to be affixed on a wall in a small space such as an area no larger than 10” h x 20” w.
• Examples of artwork could be reproductions of oil and water colour paintings, photographs or mix media. Or whatever it is you’re artwork is!
• Multiple works by the same artist will also be accepted and included in the same van or additional vans.
• Artist will supply the art on a loan basis (meaning Karma never “owns” the artwork) and returned to the artist (or sold as part of a fundraising project maybe? That could be fun)
• Karma Campervans will fund the production of the work (eg, print and frame or put on canvas), and include a placard with the artists information.
• All artists will be featured on our Artist Project web page on our website, on our social media pages, and be included in any press releases created to promote the project, linking to your website or social media.
• There could be future opportunities to showcase your artwork such as at Karma locations, in ads, as postcards, on Karma merchandise or in a book. Let’s chat!

Terms and conditions:

• Original art pieces are not recommended due to the potential for damage or theft. However,  if you’d like to supply an original piece of art, we won’t say no.
• Karma has the right to not accept any artist’s work for any reason
• Karma has the right to remove an artists work from a campervan at any time and for any reason
• Karma will never sell the produced artwork as a standalone piece unless authorized by the artist
• Only those artists selected for the project will be contacted
• Please apply by March 15th, 2023 12pm (noon) MT.
